Team Adventure Malawi is pleased to present a report on the National Conversation on Artificial Intelligence in Tourism, held on 17 January 2026 in Monkey Bay during the organisation’s 9th Annual General Meeting.

The event was a youth-led national platform aligned with the United Nations Tourism 2026 global theme, “Digital Agenda and Artificial Intelligence to Redesign Tourism.” It created an important space for dialogue on how digital technologies and artificial intelligence can support innovation, inclusivity, and sustainability in Malawi’s tourism sector.

The Conversation brought together tourism stakeholders, digital experts, conservation actors, and community representatives through a live panel discussion and interactive engagements. A strong focus was placed on youth participation and the empowerment of girls and young women within tourism destinations.

The report summarises the key discussions, insights, and outcomes from the National Conversation and highlights opportunities for collaboration as Malawi advances its digital tourism agenda. Team Adventure Malawi looks forward to continued partnerships that support the growth and transformation of the tourism sector.
